Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking an NEC Supervisor to provide strong site-based oversight on a major Norwich-based infrastructure project. You will manage quality inspections, document site activities and ensure works align with NEC4 contractual requirements.

Ideal candidates have NEC Supervisor experience, ability to interpret technical drawings, and strong communication skills to report progress and defects. This role involves highways/infrastructure exposure and on-site duties in Norwich.

Qualifications

• Experience as NEC Supervisor or Site Supervisor on major projects.
• NEC4 familiarity and contract knowledge.
• Ability to read drawings, specs and construction docs.
• Strong reporting and communication capabilities.
• Experience with highways/infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections and monitor construction activities.
• Oversee QA processes and ensure standards are met.
• Identify and manage defects through to resolution.
• Witness tests and key milestones.
• Maintain accurate site records and reports.
• Review contractor submissions for compliance.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental performance on site.

NEC Supervisor

Location: Norwich

Rate: £55.00 per hour (Umbrella)

We're currently supporting a major infrastructure project in the Norwich area and are looking to speak with experienced NEC Supervisors who can provide strong site-based oversight throughout the construction phase.

This role will suit someone with a solid background in civil engineering or infrastructure delivery, who is comfortable managing quality inspections, recording site activities, and ensuring works are completed in line with contractual and technical requirements.

Key duties will include:

• Carrying out site inspections and monitoring construction activities.
• Overseeing quality assurance processes and ensuring works meet the required standards.
• Identifying and managing defects through to resolution.
• Witnessing tests, inspections and key construction milestones.
• Maintaining accurate site records, and reports
• Reviewing contractor submissions and checking compliance with project requirements.
• Monitoring health, safety and environmental performance on site.
• Supporting the handover process through the review of as-built information and project documentation.
• Working closely with contractors and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Ideal experience:

• Previous experience operating in an NEC Supervisor or Site Supervisor capacity.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts, particularly NEC4.
• Experience working on highways, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Familiarity with DMRB and the Specification for Highway Works.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Experience using digital inspection, quality or defect management systems.

Desirable:

• NEC4 Supervisor Accreditation.
• Background within major infrastructure or transportation projects.
