Element Materials Technology Ltd. is seeking a Trainee / NDT Technician for our Dudley facility. The role involves performing dye penetrant and MPI inspections to support production quality and compliance, with full training provided for those starting in NDT.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspection for qualified candidates
• For trainees: an interest in engineering/manufacturing with a willingness to learn NDT techniques (full training provided)
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and good communication skills.
• Commitment to safe working practices and high-quality standards

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections (dye penetrant and MPI) on-site at the Dudley plant
• Accurately record, analyse, and report results in line with procedures and standards
• Support production and quality teams with feedback on inspection outcomes
• Maintain inspection equipment, tools, and records in good working order
• Follow health & safety protocols and promote safe working practices
• Participate in training, development, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Carry out other duties as required by the business
