Position Overview

The NDT Technician (Level II) is responsible for performing high-quality NDT inspections on aircraft and related components in accordance with Applus+ UK LTD approvals and industry standards. The role involves supporting both in-house and on-site inspections, which may include frequent travel within the UK and abroad.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform day-to-day NDT inspections of aircraft and components strictly in accordance with OEM work instructions and Applus procedures.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant Quality, Technical, and Health & Safety protocols both in-house and on-site.
  3. Conduct and record all calibration, control, and maintenance checks as required.
  4. Certify all work correctly in accordance with customer order specifications, regulatory requirements, and Applus internal procedures.
  5. Promptly report any issues affecting department performance to the Operations Manager.
  6. Complete accurate job packs and time sheets daily, including all necessary invoicing information.
  7. Deliver inspection services with the highest integrity and professionalism, providing customers with a sense of trust and security.
  8. Provide post-inspection documentation (e.g., EASA/CAA forms, Applus test reports) in a timely manner.
  9. Represent Applus in a professional manner in both appearance and communication.
  10. Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives in coordination with the Operations Manager.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the aviation industry.
  3. Certified to Level II in at least two of the following NDT methods: PT, MT, ET, or UT, in accordance with EN4179/NAS410 or an equivalent standard accepted by the National Aviation Authority.
  4. High attention to detail, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility toward airworthiness and safety.
  5. Proficient in computer systems and documentation.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  7. Willingness to travel internationally as required to support clients.
  8. Available to work shifts, weekends, and on-call as needed.
  9. Willing to work overtime when required.
  10. Commitment to safe working practices.
