Job summary

Babcock at Rosyth is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Inspector to join their on-site team. You’ll perform NDT and quality inspections on ship construction and welds, ensuring compliance with engineering specs and customer requirements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with classification societies, maintaining inspection records, and supporting audits while upholding rigorous safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipbuilding, marine or highly regulated environments.
• Solid understanding of QC requirements and inspection processes.
• Ability to verify compliance with engineering specs and standards.
• Familiar with ISO 10012 and quality documentation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Carry out non-destructive testing and quality inspections on ship construction and welds.
• Perform acceptance inspections to verify compliance with specs and customer requirements.
• Coordinate inspection activities with classifications societies and third-party bodies.
• Manage inspection records and ensure traceability of documentation.
• Support quality investigations, audits and reporting while upholding safety standards.
