Job summary

Babcock Mission Critical Services España SA. is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Inspector at our Rosyth site. The role involves performing NDT and quality inspections on ship construction, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and customer requirements.

You will liaise with classification societies and third-party bodies, manage inspection records, and support audits. A SC security clearance is required; PCN UT/MT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipbuilding, marine or heavily regulated environments.
• Understanding of quality control requirements and inspection processes.
• Experience inspecting completed work against engineering specifications.
• Knowledge of ISO 10012 quality compliance framework.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Non-Destructive Testing and quality inspections on ship construction and structural welds.
• Conduct acceptance inspections verifying compliance with engineering specs and customer requirements.
• Coordinate inspection activities with classification societies and third-party verification bodies.
• Manage inspection records, quality documentation and completion certification for traceability.
• Support quality investigations, audits and reporting while ensuring safety and compliance.
