Job summary

Forestry England invites applications for a Nature Networks Project Officer to lead the development and delivery of Yorkshire District’s Nature Networks project, a key part of our Biodiversity Programme. You’ll plan and deliver large-scale habitat creation and restoration across roadsides, rides, watercourses and other spaces into connected wildlife corridors across Yorkshire’s forests.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering biodiversity or habitat projects.
• Budget management and contract coordination experience.
• Ability to work with ecologists, foresters and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of Yorkshire District's Nature Networks project within Forestry England's Biodiversity Programme.
• Plan large-scale habitat creation and restoration across roadsides, rides and watercourses to create wildlife corridors.
• Coordinate practical habitat management, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure delivery from concept to on‑the‑ground results.
