Job summary

Forestry England in Yorkshire is seeking a Nature Networks Project Officer to lead the development and delivery of large-scale habitat creation and restoration projects, transforming roadsides, rides, watercourses and open spaces into connected wildlife corridors across Yorkshire’s forests.

You will plan and deliver project plans, commission ecological assessments, manage budgets and contracts, and work closely with ecologists, foresters and operational teams to ensure delivery and long-term

Qualifications

• Experience delivering biodiversity projects or landscape-scale habitat work.
• Ability to plan, manage budgets and contracts for public-facing programmes.
• Strong coordination with ecologists, foresters and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans for Nature Networks across Yorkshire District.
• Commission ecological assessments and manage related budgets and contracts.
• Coordinate practical habitat management, grazing and contractor oversight.
• Provide leadership and share reporting on biodiversity recoveries across England.
