Job summary

Willingcare is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join a countryside setting. The role focuses on delivering high-quality Early Years learning in line with the EYFS, ensuring safeguarding and creating a nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification, prior nursery experience, strong EYFS knowledge, and a warm, enthusiastic approach to children and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.
• Previous experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is required.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Confident in creating engaging learning experiences for children of various ages.
• Ability to recognise children’s interests and adapt activities accordingly.
• Creative approach to Early Years learning.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging experiences to encourage exploration and discovery.
• Support learning and development in line with the EYFS.
• Adapt activities to individual interests and developmental stages.
• Encourage confidence, independence and creativity through play.
• Support children in age-appropriate learning environments.
• Utilise outdoor spaces for nature-based experiences.
• Observe development and plan next steps accordingly.
• Build relationships with children and families.
• Support routines, wellbeing and personal care.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety policies.
