Job summary

Wells Cathedral School seeks a native French Foreign Languages Assistant to work approximately 8 hours per week and assist exclusively with our Year 12 and Year 13 pupils, focusing on their preparation for the Speaking examination with the AQA exam board and grammatical and cultural understanding of the language.

The FLA would also promote languages across the school, and assist with the administration and maintenance of displays around the languages area.

Qualifications

• Native French speaker with high proficiency in oral and written French.
• Experience supporting A-Level language pupils desirable.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks (DBS) prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 12–13 Speaking exam preparation with AQA.
• Promote languages across the school.
• Assist with administration and displays in the languages area.
• Provide one hour of contact time weekly with A-Level pupils.
