Job summary

You will run small group and 1:1 oral sessions, prepare students for speaking exams, and assist with pronunciation, cultural insights, and speaking activities across the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native French speaker.
• Fluent in English for explaining grammar and supporting students.
• Confident, patient and able to build rapport with sixth-form students.
• Reliable, well-organised and able to work as part of a team.
• Previous teaching, tutoring or youth-work experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Run small group and one-to-one oral sessions with A Level students.
• Prepare students for the speaking component, including film, literature and current affairs topics.
• Help students improve pronunciation, intonation and conversational fluency.
• Provide authentic insight into French language and culture.
• Support class teachers with resources and speaking activities.
• Support GCSE conversation practice as needed.
