Job summary

Trinity School seeks to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for EAL and MFL to join the Languages team. The successful candidate will support individual students and small groups both in and out of the classroom under the direction of the Head of Languages and class teachers.

The role focuses on helping students with English as an Additional Language build confidence, language skills and cultural understanding, while supporting GCSE students in French, German and/or Spanish to develop

Qualifications

Experience of teaching or supporting English as an additional language or literacy.
Confidence in planning and delivering small-group sessions to improve language acquisition and fluency.
Strong communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.
Experience of supporting children's learning in a school setting.

Responsibilities

Support EAL students to access learning across the curriculum.
Plan and deliver small-group sessions to improve language acquisition and fluency.
Assist GCSE MFL students with speaking, listening and fluency development.
Work effectively with students, parents and colleagues to support learning.
