Job summary

The Government Recruitment Service is recruiting a Curriculum Specialist in London to join the UK College for National Security (CfNS). You will help design and pilot the National Security Curriculum, liaising with external providers, universities and x-government bodies to source SMEs and develop engaging courses for the national security community.

You will work with senior colleagues to finalise contracts, coordinate expert delivery and build practice communities while ensuring due diligence

Responsibilities

• Be CfNS’ Academic and Research Liaison: cultivate relationships with external providers, universities, and x-government to source, contract (if external), and onboard SMEs to support design, deliver, and facilitate learning interventions.
• Source, contract (if external), and onboard the right SMEs to support the design, deliver, and facilitate of our learning interventions.
• Coordinate with Commercial Lead to finalise contracts, Head of Engagement to feed into Communities of Practice, and Head of Events to coordinate expert delivery.
• Act as the Delivery Team’s bridge between key leads, including the commercial lead and strategic engagement managers.
• Build a network of SMEs across national security topics, across multiple grades including SCS.
• Create Community of Practices for each national security topic with CfNS’ Head of Engagement.
• Develop a bank of facilitators for use across the curriculum, working with the National School of government and Head of Events to ensure due diligence.
• Work with the other Curriculum SEO to design and review learning products for the national security curriculum.
• Line Management of HEOs and support their Line Management of EO/AO/interns/apprentices.
• Drive innovation and diversity in learning design and ensure accessibility for all student base.
• Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate programmes on an ongoing basis and adapt accordingly.
• Travel regularly to London and other areas of the UK for meetings and pilots.
