Job summary

Government Recruitment Service seeks a Curriculum Specialist to join the new UK College for National Security (CfNS) in Glasgow. The role focuses on developing the National Security Curriculum, designing engaging courses, and partnering with external providers and internal teams to deliver high‑quality learning across the UK security community.

You will work with the Deputy Head of College and Head of Delivery to refine materials, build a network of SMEs, and ensure courses meet accessibility

Responsibilities

• Be CfNS’ Academic and Research Liaison: cultivate relationships with external providers, universities, and x-government to source, contract (if external), and onboard SMEs to support design, deliver, and facilitate learning interventions.
• Act as the Delivery Team’s bridge between key leads (SEO leads, Events Manager, Strategic Engagement Manager).
• Build a network of SMEs across national security topics, including reaching out across multiple grades, including SCS.
• Create Community of Practices for each national security topic with CfNS’ Head of Engagement.
• Develop a bank of facilitators with the National School of Government for cross-curriculum use and due diligence.
• Support design of learning products for the national security curriculum with colleagues, reviewing current materials and expanding them into effective courses.
• Line management of several HEOs and supporting EO/AO/interns/apprentices.
• Drive innovation and diversity in learning design to meet all student needs and ensure accessibility.
• Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate programmes continuously.
• Travel regularly to London and other UK locations for meetings and pilots.
