Job summary

The Government Recruitment Service advertises a Curriculum Specialist role based in York. You will lead academic and research liaison activities across national security topics, coordinating with external providers and government colleagues to source, contract and onboard SMEs for our learning interventions.

The role requires line management experience and occasional travel to London and other UK locations to pilot courses and engage with the National School of Government. Full-time, permanent.

Qualifications

• Academic and Research liaison with external providers and x-government.
• Coordinate with Commercial Lead, Head of Engagement and Events Manager to finalize contracts and deliver courses.
• Line manage HEOs and support EO/AO/interns/apprentices.
• Regular travel to London and other UK locations for meetings and pilots.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with external providers, universities and x-government to source SMEs for design and delivery of learning interventions.
• Coordinate with Commercial Lead, Head of Engagement and Events Manager to finalize contracts and deliver courses.
• Build a network of SMEs across national security topics, including reaching out across grades up to SCS.
• Create Communities of Practice for each national security topic with leadership.
• Develop a bank of facilitators across the curriculum in collaboration with the National School of Government.
• Support design of learning products and review current materials for continuous improvement.
• Line manage HEOs and support EO/AO/interns/apprentices.
• Drive innovation and ensure accessibility and diversity in learning design.
• Travel regularly for meetings and pilots.
