Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead technical direction across our national portfolio of buildings and assets. You will work closely with Contract Managers, Regional Directors, engineers and clients to ensure safe, compliant and high-standard maintenance and engineering activities.

This hands-on engineering leader will tackle complex M&E challenges, influence best practices, and provide practical guidance on compliance, risk, and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Significant experience in M&E/building services maintenance.
• Strong technical background in building services engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and water hygiene and compliance requirements.
• Experience with L8, HTM, SFG20 and fire safety legislation.
• Experience supporting operational teams with technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority on M&E building services systems and provide guidance to operations teams.
• Support Contract Managers and engineers with complex technical issues and root-cause analysis.
• Oversee major engineering projects including plant replacements and lifecycle works.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, including L8, HTM, SFG20, water hygiene and fire safety.
• Lead fire safety compliance and risk management activities.
• Review cooling tower operations and water treatment regimes.
• Conduct technical audits, inspections and compliance reviews across client portfolios.
• Assist with mobilisation of new contracts and maintenance strategy development.
• Support tender submissions with technical input.
• Mentor engineers and operational managers; drive best practice.
