Job summary

Thermatic Technical FM is seeking a Service Coordinator to join the Service Desk within the Operations team in Salford. You will schedule national engineers, act as a helpdesk operative, and plan planned and reactive maintenance across contracts.

The role requires experience in planning and scheduling remote, multi-site operations, strong IT skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and scheduling remote, multi-site operations.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the UK for efficient planning and scheduling.
• Excellent telephone skills to manage clients, engineers and calls.
• Operational support experience, preferably in facilities management.
• Advanced understanding of customer needs and expectations.
• Proficient with Office 365, Excel and Word; strong IT skills.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve and drive solutions for customer needs.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Collaborative approach across team and wider business.
• Willingness to be agile and flexible; ability to challenge decisions when needed.
• Experience using CAFM systems is beneficial and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage, monitor, and schedule Thermatic mobile engineers.
• Minimise engineer travel and downtime through planning within your region.
• Take service requests and assign appropriate engineer resources via Thermatic system.
• End-to-end ownership of high-priority jobs.
• Triage high-priority works with Operations and Technical teams.
• Ensure engineer devices are operational and communicating.
• Review scheduling tools to meet PM and demand plans.
• Communicate daily with contracts team on workload and future works.
• Adjust schedules for daily fluctuations in service requests.
• Escalate issues to line management when needed.
• Ensure accurate data entry into Job Logic and portals.
• Generate planned PPM and statutory maintenance schedules.
• Provide additional service admin support as required.
