Job summary

Switch2 Energy Limited is seeking a Field Engineering Operations Manager to lead a nationwide team of field engineers across the United Kingdom. You’ll drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and deliver reliable service for communal heating systems.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience with remote engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, incl. root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with AMR technologies (M-Bus, Radio, DLC) and prepayment systems.
• Ability to operate across multi-site, multi-client environments.
• Tech-savvy with digital tools and mobile work technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead a nationwide team of field engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee reactive and planned maintenance for communal heating systems, HIUs, metering, AMR tech, and prepayment infrastructure.
• Ensure resources, training, and equipment are in place to meet service levels.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and clients, solving complex challenges.
