Job summary

Awe Interactive Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a mid‑level writer and narrative designer to join a tightly knit team on a narrative‑driven FPS RPG. You will craft branching dialogue, world lore, and character interactions, collaborating with quest designers and the Game Director to weave story deeply into gameplay.

You’ll help shape quest design, lore, and in‑engine narrative with autonomy, writing flavorful dialogue and in‑game flavor text.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Narrative Designer and/or Writer in videogame development with a shipped title or substantial in‑development work.
• Strong portfolio showing dialogue and character depth.
• Understanding of how narrative and quest design intersect with gameplay.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
• Excellent written English and regional UK knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write high‑quality dialogue with humor and subtlety for characters.
• Build interactive narrative and bring in‑game characters to life.
• Collaborate with quest designers to integrate story with gameplay.
• Align dialogue with game pillars and the project vision.
• Develop character bios, motivations and storytelling briefs for artists.
• Support casting, VO direction and narration during later stages.
