Job summary

Larian Studios in Guildford is seeking a Director of Storytelling to steer the creative direction of our narrative department. You will act as the creative filter, approving pitches and shaping concepts across projects to define the next chapter of our worlds.

You will mentor a diverse team of storytellers, oversee character development and settings, and ensure narrative quality across formats while fostering cross-studio collaboration and openness to community feedback.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in story development, narrative direction, or creative leadership.
• Award-winning storytelling track record.
• Deep understanding of cross-genre narrative.
• Proven ability to finish scripts with feedback and edits.
• Strong communicator who inspires shared ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead as the creative authority on story approval and development.
• Mentor a storytelling team with clear direction.
• Evaluate and approve pitches, storylines, characters, and settings.
