Job summary

Eaton is seeking MV switchgear commissioning engineers to join their UK team. The role involves leading installation, commissioning, testing and fault finding on Eaton MV/HV equipment, while acting as the main customer contact during projects.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in electrical engineering, strong power distribution testing experience, and willingness to travel across the EMEA region; a safety-first culture and ongoing professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or a Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Power Distribution testing and commissioning.
• Ability to test and commission large Medium Voltage to High Voltage installations.
• Protection relay programming.
• Strong IT and computer literacy.
• Ability to respond to breakdowns and drive resolution.
• Leadership skills and a desire to coach and develop others.
• Flexibility to travel across the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and perform maintenance & commissioning, testing and fault finding of Eaton-manufactured MV and HV equipment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution.
• Support and mentor other service engineers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Collaborate with project management to meet delivery targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
