Teach South Kent, in partnership with a secondary school in East Sussex, is recruiting a PA Technician / Music Teaching Assistant to join the Music Department. The role offers a permanent position for the right candidate after a successful probation period and involves classroom, technical and administrative support to help students access the curriculum.

Responsabilités

• Supporting students in music lessons, including those with SEND, to maximise their progress and achievement.
• Promoting high aspirations, positive engagement and excellent expectations for all students.
• Supporting the inclusion of all students within the classroom and helping to remove barriers to learning.
• Using your subject knowledge and enthusiasm for music to support the delivery of the curriculum.
• Providing technical support for music lessons, including IT and software, instruments, recording equipment and AV resources.
• Setting up and maintaining equipment and resources for lessons, rehearsals and performances.
• Supporting extracurricular music activities and peripatetic instrumental lessons.
• Assisting with the organisation of peripatetic lessons, including student lists, timetables, rooms and equipment.
• Maintaining inventories and supporting the repair and maintenance of music and theatre equipment.
• Assisting with equipment orders and ensuring resources are organised and ready for use.
• Providing technical support across the wider Arts Faculty when required.
• Supporting assemblies, school events, concerts and performances, including setting up and operating AV and sound equipment.
• Providing sound and technical support for performances and concerts.
• Carrying out administrative duties within the department as required.
• Promoting good student engagement and attendance.
• Working in line with the school's safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education requirements.
