Job summary

Teach South Kent seeks a Music Teacher for supply roles across Hastings and surrounding areas. The role covers day-to-day cover, regular supply, and longer-term placements starting September 2026. You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering both practical and theory-based lessons and GSCE music when needed.

The position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time hours, ongoing recruitment support, and opportunities to work in multiple schools across Hastings.

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant teaching experience required.
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Music curriculum and GCSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4.
• Delivering practical and theory-based lessons.
• Teaching GCSE Music where required.
• Developing students' musical knowledge and confidence.
• Planning engaging lessons for longer-term placements.
• Supporting students with varying levels of experience.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
