Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre is seeking a part-time Music Technician to support the Music Department in lessons, coursework and live performances. You will help set up PA systems, maintain equipment, and ensure safe practice across activities.

The role requires multi-track recording, familiarity with Cubase or similar software, and a relevant music tech qualification. Term-time 20 hours per week, strong teamwork and safeguarding commitment essential.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in multi-track recording and sequencing, ideally using Cubase or similar software.
• Confidence in setting up and operating PA systems for live performances and rehearsals.
• Practical ability to maintain and repair musical and technical equipment.
• Knowledge of software installation, including VST instruments.
• Flexible, conscientious and collaborative approach to supporting staff and students.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• A relevant qualification in music technology or production, and prior experience supporting music in an educational setting would be desirable.
