Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Grantham is assisting The West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy to recruit a dedicated Music Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting immediately. You will teach GCSE Music to KS4 students, covering performance, composition and music theory, while maintaining high standards of teaching and classroom management.

The position offers daily pay of £174-£240, access to CPD, and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant team throughout onboarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECTs welcome.
• Strong knowledge of Music: performance, composition and theory.
• Experience teaching KS4 / GCSE Music.
• Knowledge of GCSE Music curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication.
• Positive, adaptable approach to inspire young musicians.

Salary: £174 - £240 per day

Are you confident delivering engaging practical and theory-based Music lessons while maintaining strong classroom management?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with The West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy, a secondary school based in Grantham, which is looking to appoint a Music Teacher. The academy provides secondary education within a Church of England setting, offering an opportunity to support students in developing their musical knowledge, creativity and confidence.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Music Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Music Teacher will be working with students of GCSE age, delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stage 4 / KS4, including performance, composition and music theory, while maintaining high standards of teaching and classroom management.

The successful Music Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Strong subject knowledge of Music, including performance, composition and music theory
• Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Knowledge of the GCSE Music curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, adaptable approach with a passion for inspiring young musicians
