Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting The West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy in Grantham by recruiting a dedicated Music Teacher. You will lead KS4 Music lessons, covering performance, composition and music theory, while fostering student confidence and creativity.

The role is full-time and long-term with an immediate start. Applicants should hold QTS (ECTs welcome), possess strong GCSE Music knowledge and demonstrate excellent classroom management to create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Music Teacher with QTS.
• Strong knowledge of GCSE Music, including theory, performance and composition.
• Proven ability to manage KS4 classes effectively and inspire students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging KS4 Music lessons including theory and practical work.
• Plan and assess music performances, compositions and coursework.

Salary: £174 - £240 per day

Are you a passionate Music Teacher who can inspire students to develop their musical creativity and confidence? Do you have experience teaching Music to Key Stage 4 / KS4 students? Are you confident delivering engaging practical and theory-based Music lessons while maintaining strong classroom management?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with The West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy, a secondary school based in Grantham, which is looking to appoint a Music Teacher. The academy provides secondary education within a Church of England setting, offering an opportunity to support students in developing their musical knowledge, creativity and confidence.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Music Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Music Teacher will be working with students of GCSE age, delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stage 4 / KS4, including performance, composition and music theory, while maintaining high standards of teaching and classroom management.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful Music Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Strong subject knowledge of Music, including performance, composition and music theory
• Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Knowledge of the GCSE Music curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, adaptable approach with a passion for inspiring young musicians
