Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking a Music Teacher for Red Kite School in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. The role involves delivering engaging Music lessons to students with support needs, aligned with personalised learning and safeguarding commitments.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, plan lessons, assess progress and contribute to education plans while inspiring confidence and creativity in students aged 11–18 with SEMH needs.

Qualifications

  • Holds a recognised teaching qualification and QTS or equivalent required.
  • Experience planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Passionate about Music and inspiring young people through creative learning.
  • Able to differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
  • Experience with children in an education setting; SEN experience is an advantage.
  • Calm, resilient and adaptable when supporting students with additional needs and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Music Teacher
Location: Red Kite School, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, HP27 0JW
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our specialist education team and make a lasting difference to the lives of our students.

Working within a supportive and multi-disciplinary environment, you will help students develop confidence, resilience and achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Many of our students have additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated social, emotional and behavioural needs, making this role ideal for a teacher who thrives on building positive relationships and creating meaningful learning experiences.

Red Kite School is an independent special school for up to 60 young people aged 11-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Opened in September 2024, the school is located in the beautiful market town of Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. We provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where every young person is understood, valued and encouraged to thrive.
