Music Lecturer - Temporary - Full Time - Broxbourne £28.58 or £30.70 per hour

We are recruiting a temporary Music Lecturer to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at their state-of-the-art facilities in Broxbourne.

About The Role

We are seeking an individual who is passionate and motivated about supporting our learners in developing their knowledge, practical skills and to deliver classes on a full-time basis at the Broxbourne Campus from September 2025.

The contract will be for 1 month initially with the possibility of extension.

As a Music Lecturer you will teach Music, Music Production and Performance on various levels of UAL programmes and Edexcel programmes, up to Level 5. You will deliver the full range of professional services associated with teaching, learning, assessment and student support.

You will be working within the Music, Media & Performing Arts curriculum area - in an industry standard professional environment, including recording studio, rehearsal rooms and mac suites.

You will oversee a wide range of projects with students, including professional studio recording sessions and live music events.

About You

Successful candidates will display a passion for teaching and enjoy interacting and engaging with students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues whilst using your own initiative. You will have great interpersonal and organisation skills and ideally be able to demonstrate previous teaching and/or training experience as well as practical experience.

Successful candidates will possess a Degree in Music/ Music Production/Audio Production/Creative Arts subject, a Teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake one within a specified time frame e.g. PGCE, DTTLS or DET, GCSEs C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent), relevant experience related to music and/or audio production using a DAW, experience of music performance in industry, hardware experience with music/audio devices/equipment, proven teaching experience and subject specialism, proven experience of meeting or exceeding targets.
