Job summary

Market Hall Café & Shop at Market Hall Museum in Warwickshire is seeking Relief Visitor Services Assistants to cover staff holidays, absences and extra activities. Shifts are offered monthly when available and include Saturdays. Our standard opening hours are 10am - 5pm Tuesday - Saturday.

You will help set up the café, prepare food and drink, serve customers and promote offers such as our cream teas. Occasionally you may cover shifts in the shop and welcome visitors on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a customer service environment.
• Confident working within a team and independently.
• Good levels of numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Set up the café indoor and outdoor spaces and open the museum for the day ahead.
• Prepare food and drink, serve customers and promote offers (cream teas).
• Clean workspaces, receive deliveries and ensure records are kept accurate.
• Occasionally cover shifts in the shop, welcome visitors and promote shop products.
• Provide friendly conversations with visitors and deliver excellent customer service.
