Job summary

Benugo is seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The British Museum. You will report to the Head Chef and deputise in their absence, helping to deliver premium hospitality and events in a renowned cultural setting.

This role focuses on high-quality food preparation, menu development with senior chefs, and maintaining top food safety and stock control standards. It is a full-time, 5 days out of 7 position with a salary up to £40,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar kitchen role.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly with the Head Chef and deputising in their absence.
• Developing new menu ideas with the Head Chef and Group Executive Chef to improve offerings.
• Ensuring the food quality is at the highest standard at all times.
• Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control.
• Maintaining high food safety and health and safety procedures.
