Job summary

Leicestershire County Council’s Culture Leicestershire is seeking a specialist transport officer to safely move museum, archive, library and art collections between venues across the country. The role includes delivering and collecting items, acting as an ambassador for the service, and coordinating with schools and community venues.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid full driving licence and be eligible to drive a category C1 vehicle.
• Experience of driving and transporting goods.
• Proven ability to provide high quality customer care to a wide range of colleagues and the public.
• Able to plan and manage time to meet service needs and keep written records/ documentation.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and transport museum, archive, library and art collections between venues, schools, community organisations and other museums/galleries.
• Deliver and collect objects to and from museums, galleries, schools and other sites.
• Be an ambassador for Culture Leicestershire when engaging with the public and stakeholders.
