Job summary

Copleston High School, part of Oxlip Learning Partnership, is seeking a Cover Teacher to provide high-quality classroom cover across a range of subjects, supervise students completing work, and support independent study environments. The successful candidate will work with senior leaders and teaching staff to maintain high expectations, promote positive behaviour, monitor attendance and progress, and uphold safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality classroom cover across a range of subjects.
• Supervise students completing work set by absent teachers.
• Support large-scale study sessions and independent learning environments.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high conduct standards.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and progress during cover sessions.
• Work with senior leaders, teaching staff and pastoral teams.
• Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and attendance expectations.
