Job summary

Convatec is seeking a multiskilled maintenance engineer to perform proactive and reactive maintenance on electro-mechanical processing and packaging machinery. You will troubleshoot to keep production running smoothly and work as part of a fast-paced maintenance team within Convatec.

The role requires a strong troubleshooting ability, an understanding of PLCs and controls, and experience with packaging/processing equipment.

Qualifications

• Time-served craft technician with engineering maintenance background.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health & Safety policies.
• Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on packaging and process equipment.
• Carry out regular maintenance, PPMs and reactive tasks as directed.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Support production to improve efficiency and maintain records.

Mechanical & electrical skills

PLC & inspection camera knowledge

18th Edition wiring regulations

Inverter, servo, DC drives

Fault finding & troubleshooting

Use of CMMS systems (Maximo)

Proficiency in Office suite (Excel/Out

Education

NVQ Level 4 in Engineering or equivalent
