Job summary

Convatec is seeking a Maintenance Technician at their Rhymney facility to handle frontline maintenance on a rotating shift. This role involves ensuring operational efficiency of manufacturing assets and includes responsibilities such as electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, compliance with safety standards, and maintaining equipment specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering qualification and experience in electrical systems, including HVAC. A collaborative team player mindset is essential, as well as the ability to respond to process changes independently.

Qualifications

• Understanding of clean-room or controlled environment controls.
• Broad experience in electrical systems including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance to maximise uptime.
• Support integration of new machinery into operations.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and GMP.

Skills

Electrical systems operations and maintenance

HVAC systems

Fluent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

General knowledge of BS 7671 (18th Edition) IEE Regulations

Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems

Knowledge of CMMS systems such as Maximo

Education

HNC/ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering

Recognised engineering apprenticeship
