Ritz Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive Maintenance Operative in Cardiff to support a busy student accommodation. You will handle maintenance requests, perform repairs, and participate in preventative maintenance to keep the estate safe and presentable.

Responsibilities include responding to requests, carrying out plumbing, decorating and joinery tasks, and ensuring compliant records and effective communication with residents.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance/handyman/trade experience.
• Strong practical skills across maintenance disciplines.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Reliable and self-motivated with ownership of work.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests via internal systems.
• Carry out general repairs including plumbing, decorating, joinery.
• Support reactive and planned maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and communal areas.
• Identify and address maintenance issues and safety risks.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, and compliance records.
• Deliver professional and approachable service to residents.
• Communicate clearly across teams and with residents.
