Job summary

Ringway in Tonbridge is recruiting an Operative to carry out general maintenance and operations, working with a Chargehand on a range of routine and cyclical works. You will respond to emergencies and call outs on rota, and assist with winter maintenance as a second man or driver’s mate.

This permanent full-time role requires a proactive team player with a current driving licence and the ability to work varying hours, plus a willingness to undertake training and develop site competencies.

• Current driving licence and willingness to work outdoors in varying hours.

Specialist Skills

• To have and be able to apply a wide range of generalist skills
• To understand risk assessments and to assess according to safe systems of work
• To be able to understand and carry out work as set out in a specification
• Generally hold 12 months+ experience
• Potential & interest in obtaining LGV licence
• Undertaken training on: General health & safety awareness / Risk assessment awareness / Traffic Management / Use of PDA as required
• Ability to use small plant and equipment
• Ability to operate mini excavator
