Job summary

Peaple Talent is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing site in Trafford Park, Manchester. The role is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with a call-out rota and duties across electrical and mechanical maintenance to maximise plant availability.

You will carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance on production plant, diagnose faults, service 3‑phase motors and PLC-controlled equipment, and support continuous improvement projects within a safety-focused

Qualifications

Engineering apprenticeship with a formal engineering qualification.
Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills including PLCs and 3-phase motors.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance across production plant and equipment.
Respond quickly to breakdowns and unplanned plant stoppages.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
Carry out daily plant monitoring inspections and routine equipment checks.
Maintain and fault find on 3-phase motors, electrical control systems and PLC-controlled equipment.
Support continuous improvement projects to improve plant reliability and processes.
