Job summary

b3 recruitment ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Wigan. This hands-on role requires fault-finding expertise across electrical and mechanical systems to maintain and improve manufacturing operations.

You will drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory standards are met. The role operates on three rotating shifts with a competitive salary and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification with electrical bias is preferred.
• PLC fault finding and diagnostics knowledge is required.
• Strong analytical, planning and coordination abilities are essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to equipment breakdowns to maximise uptime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery and site services.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for reliability and efficiency.
• Support engineering projects and equipment installations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene, environmental, and H&S standards.
