Job summary
Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, for a permanent, full-time role within a modern production facility. The position offers a structured on-site maintenance environment with emphasis on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Salary £47,000 - £50,000 per annum DOE plus overtime and on-call payments; double days (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00) on weekly rotation.
Qualifications
- Proven maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, production or processing environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production equipment.
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and production issues.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Support production teams by minimising equipment downtime.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
