About the Role

We are seeking a highly competent Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team at our Brackley site. The role is factory-based, working in a fast-paced FMCG environment with areas of noise and refrigeration, producing short shelf-life products with strict hygiene standards.

Working Hours

• Friday: 10.00 - 19.00
• Saturday: 07.00 - 19.00
• Sunday: 07.00 - 19.00
• Monday: 07.00 - 16.00

Key Responsibilities

• Lead during breakdowns using your skills and experience.
• Perform maintenance according to schedule and address corrective actions efficiently.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and suggest improvements.
• Communicate breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager and work with operations to minimize disruption.
• Follow engineering standards and hygiene practices.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and report issues.
• Use problem-solving techniques to identify root causes.
• Raise stock and non-stock requests.
• Utilize the CMMS system for managing spare parts and logging jobs.

Candidate Requirements

• Advanced Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines (BTEC, NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND).
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of process machinery and fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical fitting skills.
• Ability to mentor others.
• Self-motivated, capable of multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.
• Desirable: Welding, machining, fabrication, refrigeration, electrical qualifications, PLCs, VSDs, control systems.
