Job summary

McBride is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer at the Middleton site in the United Kingdom. You will be part of a cross-functional engineering team, delivering proactive and reactive maintenance to maximise production efficiency on a 4-on 4-off shift.

The role requires rigorous fault-finding, safe working practices and active involvement in CI and lean initiatives. You will work with maintenance, production, quality and health & safety colleagues to ensure assets run at maximum speeds

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience on high-volume production automated machinery.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical/mechanical discipline.
• Strong fault-finding capability across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned reliability maintenance and tasks to high standard.
• Perform reactive maintenance and fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Work within Permit to Work, Isolation Procedures and risk assessments.
• Lead CI projects and Lean maintenance improvements where appropriate.
• Use CMMS to plan work and record outcomes; maintain clear communications across shifts.
