Job summary

CV Technical is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent day shift in Shropshire to maintain and improve a range of manufacturing equipment, maximise uptime and support continuous improvement while working closely with production teams.

The role requires a Level 3 Electrical qualification and experience in manufacturing maintenance, with strong fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems; PLC fault finding is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical qualification required.
• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems.
• PLC fault finding experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Work with production teams to ensure equipment performance and safety.

Shift Pattern: Days Only (Monday-Friday)

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

Requirements

• A Level 3 Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent).
• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with PLC fault finding would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
