Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Doncaster to maintain and improve production equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The permanent role is based at a modern site in South Yorkshire with a strong emphasis on safety and technical excellence.

The ideal candidate is electrically biased, with qualifications in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics, and capable of fault finding. You will support TPM, continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with production teams

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical or mechatronics).
• Proven multi‑skilled maintenance experience in FMCG or high‑volume manufacturing.
• Strong fault‑finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Relevant electrical qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all tasks.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Contribute to TPM activities, root cause analysis, and equipment upgrades.

Profile

• A recognised qualification in engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics.
• Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance technician within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Relevant electrical qualification - desirable.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
• Safety-conscious, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Job Offer

Salary is circa £46,400 per annum.

Permanent position based in Doncaster.
