Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the Estates Team at Prestwich, supporting buildings across Manchester and surrounding areas. You will perform reactive, planned and emergency maintenance with multi-trade capabilities, ensuring safety, compliance and efficient service delivery within the Trust.

Coordination with contractors and on-call duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic Maths and English required.
• Experience in working in a hospital environment.
• Multi-trade knowledge across trades.
• Experience working in a mental health environment.
• Building trade knowledge and practical skills.
• Good maths and English skills for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• See attached detailed Job description and Person specification.
• Provide reactive, planned and emergency maintenance services across the Trust’s estates.
• Coordinate and monitor work of contractors for maintenance, cleaning and waste management.
• Support location managers in day-to-day maintenance service delivery.
