Job summary

Adler and Allan in Little Hulton, Manchester, is seeking a hands-on HGV Operative/Technician for a permanent, full-time role. You will drive HGV vehicles, perform high-pressure jetting, spill clean-ups, and assist with groundworks and tank works. Travel and lodging are required on occasion.

Ideal candidates have HGV Class 2, RAMS experience, and a flexible attitude to overtime and call-outs. ADR is a bonus, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence (ADR preferred but not essential).
• Experience with RAMS documentation.
• Experience of Tacho and vehicle checks (training can be provided).
• A flexible, can-do attitude – some overtime & call-outs required.
• Background in multi-skilled trade work (plant operation experience is a bonus!).
• Willingness to work away when needed – hotels & travel covered.

Responsibilities

• Tanker driving – operating company vehicles (HGV/Class 2/Class 1).
• High-pressure water jetting and spill clean-ups.
• Groundworks, remedial works and Tank uplifts.
• Tank/interceptor installation, servicing, and inspections.
• Spill response and industrial cleaning duties.
• Supporting emergency response teams when duty calls.
• Training up to national grid & rail standards.
