Job summary

Adler & Allan are seeking an HGV Operative/Technician in Little Hulton, Manchester. The role combines hands-on driving with remedial works such as tank installations, jetting, and spill clean-ups. Applicants should have HGV Class 2 experience and be willing to travel with hotels/travel covered when required.

The position is permanent, full-time, with a competitive salary and opportunities to train to national grid and rail standards.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required (ADR preferred but not essential).
• Experience with RAMS documentation.
• Experience with tachograph and vehicle checks; training available.

Responsibilities

• Tanker driving using HGV/Class 2 and Class 1 vehicles.
• High-pressure water jetting and spill clean-ups.
• Groundworks, remedial works and tank uplifts.
• Tank/interceptor installation, servicing and inspections.
• Spill response and industrial cleaning duties.
• Assist emergency response teams when needed.
• Training to national grid & rail standards.

HGV Operative/Technician Little Hulton, Manchester Permanent, Full-time Competitive Salary Looking for a hands-on, high-impact role where every day is different? We’re hiring a HGV Driver and Technician that isn't afraid to get stuck in on the additional hands on tasks! If you have experience in HGV Class 2 and groundworks or remediation and a knack for problem-solving, we want you on board.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Tanker driving – operating company vehicles (HGV/Class 2 Class 1)
• High-pressure water jetting and spill clean-ups
• Groundworks, remedial works and Tank uplifts
• Tank/interceptor installation, servicing, and inspections
• Spill response and industrial cleaning duties
• Supporting emergency response teams when duty calls
• Training up to national grid & rail standards

What We Need From You:

• HGV Class 2 licence (ADR preferred but not essential)
• Experience with RAMS documentation
• Experience of Tacho and vehicle checks (training can be provided)
• A flexible, can-do attitude – some overtime & call-outs required
• Background in multi-skilled trade work (plant operation experience is a bonus!)
• Willingness to work away when needed – hotels & travel covered
