Job summary

Adler & Allan is seeking an HGV Operative/Technician for a hands-on, high-impact role in the Manchester area. You will operate HGV/class 2 vehicles, perform groundworks tasks and support spill clean-ups and tank servicing with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires flexibility for overtime and travel, with training available for tachograph and RAMS processes. A strong problem-solving mindset and multi-skilled capability are key to success.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence and RAMS doc experience are required.
• Familiarity with tachographs and vehicle checks or training provided.
• Willingness to work away - hotels and travel covered when needed.
• Flexible, hands-on attitude with problem-solving skills.
• Background in groundworks or remediation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tanker driving and operating company vehicles (HGV/Class 2).
• High-pressure water jetting and spill clean-ups.
• Groundworks, remedial works and tank uplifts.
• Tank/interceptor installation, servicing and inspections.
• Spill response and industrial cleaning duties.
• Support emergency response teams when on duty.
• Training up to national grid & rail standards.
