Job summary

Valeo Foods UK is seeking a experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our production team in Heanor. The role covers maintenance, repairs and preventive tasks across fast-moving lines.

Working hours are 39 hours Mon-Fri (Mon-Thu 6:30-14:45, Fri 6:30-15:00). The salary is up to £45,000 per annum. The successful candidate will have FMCG plant experience and be competent with maintenance systems and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification.
• Ability to prove competency in isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry, alongside mechanical experience.
• Experience of FMCG operations.
• PC Literate and able to use computer-based maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Daily reporting of breakdowns v PPMs activities.
• Prioritisation of repair work.
• Planning and monitoring machine performance.
• Negotiating machine availability with Planning Department.
• Monitoring failure and supporting External Contractors.
• Providing technical support for production when required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and paperwork.
