Job summary

Valeo Foods UK is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our fast-moving snacks and confectionery production team. You will own breakdown reporting, plan preventative maintenance, and coordinate with planning to maximize machine availability.

The role requires a relevant engineering qualification, proven competency in electrical safety and panel entry, and hands-on experience in FMCG environments. PC-literate and familiar with computer-based maintenance systems, you will uphold GMP and safety

Responsibilities

• The daily reporting of breakdowns v PPMs activities.
• Prioritisation of repair work.
• Planning and Monitoring machine performance.
• Working with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability.
• Monitoring failure.
• Supporting External Contractors.
• Technical support for production when required.
• To maintain the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy.
• To maintain the highest standards when completing paperwork and works sign off.

Multi Skilled Engineer, up to £45,000 pa

39 hours Monday - Friday
Mon - Thur 6:30 - 14:45

Are you an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer looking for a new challenge? Look no further! Valeo foods, a manufacturer of some of the UK’s best loved snacks, cakes and confectionery, is looking for a new team member of the team!

What you'll be doing:

• The daily reporting of breakdowns v PPMs activities

Key areas of the role:

• Carrying out of the engineering activities.
• Achieving P.P.M. Plans and completion rates.
• Minimizing engineering downtime.
• Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department.
• Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team.
• Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards at all times Ensuring Engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level.

About you:

• Relevantengineering qualification
• Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry, alongside mechanical experience
• Experience of FMCG operations
• PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
