Pilgrim's Pride Limited in Bristol seeks a Multi Skilled Engineer to support the Abattoir, Butchery and Packing Departments across a designated shift pattern.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC knowledge, with accurate CMMS maintenance logging and proactive collaboration with internal teams and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum technical qualification in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Experience with food processing equipment preferred.
• Good communication and a flexible, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support across Abattoir, Butchery and Packing Departments.
• Record maintenance work in the CMMS accurately and timely.
• Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to meet business needs.

Job description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team working across a designated shift pattern and providing support across the site including our Abattoir, Butchery and Packing Departments.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Multi Skilled Engineer at our Westerleigh site.

• excellent fault finders and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC's.
• They will also be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must.

The Engineering department is crucial to the efficient running of the site and therefore applicants will be required to demonstrate:

• excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors
• a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the overall needs of the business are met.
• Ideally applicants will have direct experience of working with food processing and packaging equipment, however familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate., a recognised qualification for mechanical and electrical engineering
