Job summary

Tarmac is hiring a Multi Skilled Operative for our asphalt plant in Snodland, Kent. You’ll be hands-on with site operations, including mixing asphalt, operating the weighbridge, and driving mobile plant to keep production on track.

The role requires safety‑conscious, proactive teamwork, with a 24/5 production schedule and overtime availability. We provide training, development opportunities, and a supportive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Proficient with site computer systems and data entry.
• Experience with mobile plant operations is desirable.
• Shovel License is a big plus.
• Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and train on site processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality materials and timely deliveries
• Support production goals and maintain stock levels
• Operate mobile plant and machinery safely and efficiently
• Conduct inspections and address defects
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with HSE procedures
